2002 DEC 9 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- A meta-analysis conducted by University of California, Berkeley, researchers shows that Chinese herbal medicine alone or in combination with interferon alfa is effective treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus infection.
"We searched the TCMLARS, AMED, CISCOM, EMBASE, MEDLINE, and Cochrane Collaboration databases and then hand-searched the articles' bibliographies," stated M. McCulloch and colleagues.
