Nov. 22--Aapico Hitech Plc, a Thai-Malaysian car parts maker, plans a 500-million-baht joint venture with Siemens VDO of Germany to supply vehicle assemblers.
The venture was part of Aapico Hitech's plan to expand into parts manufacturing to tap the healthy growth in the automobile industry, said managing director Yeap Swee Chuan.
The shareholding structure has not yet been concluded but a plant, located adjacent to the existing facilities at the Hi-tech Industrial Estate in Ayutthaya, will become operational at the end of next year.
