In response to Joanie Sherman of Mission Hills, KS (Gardeners' Grapevine, June-July 1994, pg.12): Yes, rabbits can be very destructive. I use dried blood, which not only keeps rabbits away but is also very good for the flowers. It needs to be spread after a rain. I use a handful and scatter over flowers.

I have successfully used this spray solution from your magazine (August-September 1991, pg. 7) on shrubs for aphids. My impatiens also had aphids so I wet them down as well as the ground around the plants. Every evening there are two or three rabbits ...
