SECAUCUS, N.J. -- Thomson Physicians World (PW), a business of the Thomson Corporation Toronto, announced it has purchased the outstanding shares of Physicians World GMBH (PW GMBH), a medical education and communications company based in Mannheim, Germany. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
PW previously owned 50 percent of the shares and purchased the remaining 50 percent of shares from its former German joint venture partner. PW established the German joint-venture unit in January 1999.
