CUPERTINO, Calif. -- Pico Communications will demonstrate at the Bluetooth Developers Conference its new tri-mode Bluetooth/802.11b access point (AP) technology. The technology demonstration is the basis for a new product, the PicoBlue II, which will feature a unique modular design allowing users to upgrade the base Bluetooth AP with additional Wi-Fi AP and bridging capabilities for a total of three operating modes. The PicoBlue II will be targeted at both SOHO users and hotspot operators and will be available during the first quarter of 2003.
