Nov. 15--Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc. said yesterday that it has signed a franchise agreement for the United Kingdom, its second development deal outside North America.
The franchise company, Krispy Kreme UK Ltd., will be 34-percent owned by Krispy Kreme, which is based in Winston-Salem.
Krispy Kreme UK will develop 25 stores over the next five years throughout the United Kingdom. The United Kingdom consists of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The first store is expected to open in greater London in the next 18 months to two years, said ...
