Nov. 14--A pair of consultants who have analyzed a proposed retail project in San Luis Obispo made the rounds Wednesday in an effort to reassure existing downtown businesses that most of them would still prosper -- with mixed reaction.
"We do acknowledge there is store-to-store risk," said Allan Kotin, who studied the potential impact of the proposed San Luis Marketplace on the downtown area. "But on balance, it's worth it."
