Medford, Ore., Home Furniture Store Opens After Remodeling.

Nov. 13--McMahan's Furniture unveils its new look today as the Los Angeles-based home furnishings store re-opens its doors after closing Nov. 4 for remodeling.

"Our store was dark, dingy and old," says store manager Chris Tratz, who has been with the company for nine years. "We needed to give it a fresh look, inside and out."

The 23,540-square-foot building at 300 E. Barnett Road underwent a major transformation, with walls and old carpets removed, lights replaced and rest rooms revamped. Medford Building Department records show the remodel cost $223,000.
