HA NOI -- 2002 has been another year of strong cooperation and partnership between ADB and Viet Nam in furthering the social and economic development efforts of Viet Nam. The year 2002 started with the ADB's Board of Directors endorsing, in January, the Viet Nam Country Strategy and Program, which envisages about $945 million in financing assistance over three years. This was followed by the signing, in February, of a landmark Poverty Reduction Partnership Agreement between ADB and Viet Nam.
