CHICAGO -- Saint Xavier University Board of Trustees announced today that university president Dr. Richard Yanikoski has decided to leave that post when his current contract expires summer 2003. Board Chair John McCarthy said the president's decision came following a favorable performance review, which is regularly completed six months prior to the end of the term, and despite board efforts to retain the president, Yanikoski has decided to step down in order to return to his career as a scholar.
