Nov. 5--BEAUFORT, N.C.--When Deborah Pace's son, Joshua, developed a life-threatening brain tumor three years ago, it was an isolated tragedy.
Then, two of Joshua's schoolmates at Beaufort Elementary School were stricken with cancer, and one died. To Pace and other parents, three children in the same school is more than a frightening coincidence.
They want authorities to close the school and move the students out immediately.
"We're sending our children to school for an education," Pace said.
