Nov. 3--With 14 children between them, Anna Mae Martin and Louise Shirk would have every reason in the world to stay home and sew.
But instead, the two Mennonite women -- Martin, mother of eight sons, and Shirk, mother of six children -- leave their homes six days a week for a world they created to help others sew.
Across a wooden bridge over Saucony Creek is Wooden Bridge Dry Goods, a fabric and notions store the women own along Deysher Road in Maxatawny Township.
