Nov. 1--A U.S. District judge on Thursday set a Tuesday hearing to decide whether he has the authority to forcibly remove a group of Kickapoo Indians who seized reservation buildings after ousting tribal leaders.
U.S. District Judge Fred Biery issued a temporary injunction Wednesday ordering the insurgents to immediately vacate the Lucky Eagle Casino and administration building on the Kickapoo reservation outside Eagle Pass.
Tribe members, however, have refused to relinquish control of the buildings.
