Westchester County hotels are hoping that next year will be brighter, for its sputtering convention and business meeting business, which has been hit by the double whammies of 9/11 and, this year, a weak economic climate.
"Flat is probably the best description of the year-to-year business" in the overnight. convention and meeting business, said Joe Crimmins, president of the Westchester County Hotel Association and general manager of the Doral Arrowwood Conference Center in Rye Brook. "Everyone is hopeful that we'll see some improvement over the course of next year."
