Nov. 12--Northern Border Partners L.P. of Omaha said Friday that it has agreed to buy one pipeline company and a portion of another for $152 million.
Xcel Energy of Minneapolis sold Viking Gas Transmission Co. to Northern Border for stock and the assumption of $40 million in debt. The sale includes Viking's one-third interest in Guardian Pipeline.
