WASHINGTON -- Today, the National Health Council named John W. Walsh, founder, President and CEO, Alpha-1 Foundation, to serve on its Board of Directors. The National Health Council is the premier membership organization representing all segments of the health care community. The Council's core membership includes the nation's leading voluntary health agencies representing more than 100 million people with chronic diseases and disabilities. As a member of the Board of Directors, Walsh will have an opportunity to take a leadership role in the achievement of Council goals including the promotion of quality health care for all people and promoting medical research.
