Nov. 15--The commander of the Pueblo Chemical Depot was relieved of his duties this week after the Army deemed a leadership change was needed at the post.
Lt. Col. John Driftmier ended his term as commander on Tuesday, nearly nine months earlier than expected.
"There were inspections held and their were issues with organizational matters," said Marilyn Thompson, spokeswoman for the depot. "Because of the outcomes of these inspections, it was deemed necessary to change the leadership."
