Article: 2. Import duty on wheat flour set at 5%, China and India to face dumping petition. (Trade).(Indonesian government imposes duty on wheat flour imports)

The government has set an import duty of 5% on wheat flour from all most favoured nation (MFN) although the decision has yet to be signed by Finance Minister Boediono. Meanwhile, producers of wheat flour in the country have prepared dumping petition against China and India. M Yamin Rachman, the director of agro industry, an independent team has considered all possible effects of the imposition of the import duty. The team came to a conclusion that the policy would not cause an increase in the selling price of that food product in the country. The effect would be insignificant. Therefore, the government, will soon announce the decision.
