It's odd that the Falkland Islands are British, located at the bottom end of the South Atlantic Ocean, with no significant natural resources. Oil deposits were suspected in the region, but the exploration project was put on hold. The Falkland Islands are not on the route to anywhere, but the community is very British right down to orange marmalade and bacon for breakfast, as all products are imported by ship from the United Kingdom.
