Dec. 7--Gone were the blue jail clothes he wore the last time he stood before U.S. Magistrate G. Mallon Faircloth, along with the refusal to identify himself except as John "Peace" Doe.
Dressed in a white shirt, gray slacks and black glasses, David Tarbell was contrite as he pleaded guilty Friday to trespassing on Fort Benning Nov. 17 as part of a SOA Watch protest.
"I chose to cross because I felt the regulation passed by the commandant conflicted with the First Amendment," the 21-year-old Cincinnati college student told Faircloth.
