Dec. 11--Claritin goes on sale over the counter this week, with many users of the popular nonsedating antihistamine paying more for the convenience of shopping without a prescription. And the price will be nothing to sneeze at.
Individuals with prescription co-pay benefits are used to spending very little for the drug. When it goes on sale this week, five Claritin tablets will cost about $1 per pill. Claritin is being rolled out this week by area pharmacies, although many are waiting for word about when their shipment will arrive.
