LOS ANGELES -- Washington columnist Helen Thomas, who covered the White House for more than four decades, will be the keynote speaker at the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists' 27th annual banquet.
The chapter will honor four area journalists at the banquet, which will be held on Jan. 16, 2003, at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
The honorees are: Judy Muller, Los Angeles correspondent, ABC News; Kitty Felde, host of "Talk of the City," KPCC-FM; Jean Adelsman, retired managing editor, Daily Breeze; and Sue Manning, day supervisor, Los Angeles bureau, The Associated Press. The Freedom of ...
