The Marine Corps plans to award a contract to the TDA Armements joint venture between France's Thales and the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Co. (EADS) for the second phase of the Expeditionary Fires Technology Demonstration, continuing the service's evaluation of the company's 2R2M rifled mortar.
