China liberalizes second-level dot cn domain names for public registration
Shanghai. December 12. INTERFAX-CHINA - China's Ministry of Information Industry (MII) opened the second level under China's national domain name dot CN for public registration, according to an announcement released on December 11. Companies and institutions can register their Internet addresses directly under dot CN, like abc.cn for example, rather than the previous abc.com.cn, or abc.net.cn.
