After eight months of hard talks, St. Mary's Hospital and neighborhood leaders tentatively agree on a $10.6 million expansion of the hospital.
A two-story, 45,600-square-foot addition would be placed atop the existing, six-story southwest wing, new plans show.
"We really have a desperate need for health-care service space," hospital director of community relations Steve Sparks said. "Patients are spending the night in the emergency room because there are no beds available."
The hospital and Greenbush neighborhood are also near agreement on a broad memorandum of understanding that would help ...
