Dec. 13--It may bill itself as the "Cowboy Capital," but during the past decade Bandera County's wide-open spaces have gotten a lot narrower with new residential development. So county officials plan to ask the state for more power to preserve what's left.
Commissioners would like to have more control over water and road development. Residents also have raised concerns about billboards and heavy weekend traffic.
