ASSOCIATION OF FLIGHT ATTENDANTS WINS INJUNCTION AGAINST ALASKA AIRLINES

WASHINGTON, Oct. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- A federal district court judge in Seattle has issued a preliminary injunction against Alaska Airlines, in a dispute growing out of the current contract negotiations between the carrier and the Association of Flight Attendants (AFA) representing its flight attendants.

U.S. District Court Judge William Dwyer ruled on Tuesday that Alaska Airlines violated the Railway Labor Act by implementing changes in work rules without first negotiating with the AFA, AFL-CIO.
