Scientists have found a way to boost the health benefits of white wine to match those of red varieties.

Researchers in France say they have increased the antioxidant content of white wine, giving it the ability - usually associated with red - to fight heart disease.

The new wine, called Paradoxe Blanc, takes its name from the famous paradox: why do the French suffer so little heart disease despite their weakness for fatty food and cigarettes?
