TACOMA -- Led by senior All-American Mikaela Parmlid and U.S. Amateur champ Becky Lucidi, the USC women's golf team ran away from the field yesterday for its third consecutive team championship in the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational at the Tacoma Country and Golf Club.
The Trojans more than doubled the seven-stroke lead they held at the start of the final round, beating second-place Washington by 15 strokes at 9-over-par 885.
The Huskies edged Pepperdine by one shot for their second consecutive runner-up finish in a tournament.
