Dec. 13--MIAMI BEACH, Fla. -- Art Deco Weekend, the celebration of style that helped restore South Beach as one of the nation's premier destinations by renewing interest in its architecture, is facing a budget crunch that places this year's event in jeopardy.
Sponsored by the Miami Design Preservation League, the festival has grown from a humble start at the Cardozo Hotel 26 years ago into an annual attraction that lured a half-million people last year.
