Dec. 13--Public employees will see their health insurance premiums increase by about 23 percent next year, under a plan adopted Thursday by the Public Employees Insurance Agency for fiscal year 2003-04.
However, an amendment adopted Thursday could mean state workers, teachers, and other public employees will get through the following budget year without a premium hike.
PEIA conducted a series of public hearings around the state on the proposed 2003-04 coverage plan over the past two weeks.
