He won an NCAA title at Indiana. He was fitted for two NBA rings in Detroit. But suddenly, Isiah Thomas' golden touch went into hibernation.
Thomas took over as president of the expansion Toronto Raptors. It was a disaster, eh.
Then Thomas bought the Continental Basketball Association. He ran the league into the ground.
Thomas next took over Enron. OK, not really. He next took over as Indiana Pacers coach in 2000.
But the Pacers' stock didn't exactly soar during his first two seasons.
Thomas went 83-81, and the Pacers had a pair of first-round playoff exits.
