He's not Robin Williams, but he read his cue cards with nary a hitch. He wore a bulky suit that seemed better suited for a summit on global warming, but he did dance with a dog and sip wine in a hot tub with a Joe Lieberman lookalike.
No doubt Al Gore would prefer to be running the war against al-Qaida these days, rather than playing an accountant in Willie Wonka's chocolate factory and saying lines like, "We're oompa loompa doopity screwed!" But since he's saying no to a rematch with George W. Bush, why shouldn't he host "Saturday Night Live" and indulge his inner prankster?
