A representative from the Yellow Pages I.M.A.(SM), the industry association comprised of major Yellow Pages publishers and certified marketing representatives who serve as the industry's national sales channel, argued before the Federal Trade Commission Friday that the agency's proposed rule to limit the telemarketing of Internet and Web services would not only raise the cost of these services to small enterprises and limit their access to tools to grow their businesses, but would do nothing to thwart fraudulent organizations from scamming businesses in this area.
