New York Jets coach Herman Edwards wanted to laud his quarterback, Chad Pennington, for having the patience to wait for his opportunity to lead the team, as he is now doing in his third NFL season.
"He's been blessed that he's grown up with his dad as a football coach, so he understands the process of being patient," Edwards said. "He understands the process of, you don't need to go to the 7-Eleven all the time. Sometimes you need to go to the grocery store and stand in line."
