Dec. 16--As Columbia longs for prominent retail names such as Famous Barr, Bass Pro Shops and Kohl's, one highly-coveted shopper's paradise is dotting another landscape 30 minutes away.
In a flattened rock bluff region of western Jefferson City sits a shopping center called Wildwood Crossings. Some of the retail names there are familiar to Columbia shoppers: Lowe's, MC Sports, Pier 1 Imports, even a soon-to-come Barnes & Noble.
