Louis Vuitton's famous monogram more than 100 years old is such a sacrosanct part of its heritage that a factory workers aren't allowed to sever the LV letters when they make handbags, trunks and other leather goods. But leave it to Marc Jacobs, the house's artistic director to redo the monogram in Technicolor glory--and mix in a few cartoonish eyeballs and cherry blossoms, too. It's all part of his latest buzz-generating accessories co1lection. The new pattern is a collaboration with Takashi Murakami, a member of Japan's Neo-Pop movement who's known for his futuristic sculptures and psychedelic paintings.
