The managing director of Ceramica San Lorenzo, Mr. Tulio Silgado, says that the ceramic floor and wall tile industry will probably register growth of 15% next year because of the continuation of housing programs such as Techo Propio and Mivivienda, aimed at providing homes for lower income Peruvians. The rate of growth for this year will be around 8%. The executive reports that prices in the sector have remained stable this year, despite increases in the costs of some raw materials, but that this has cut into profit margins. ...
