Dec. 19--PROVIDENCE, R.I.--Dan Lowe loves Rhode Island, but he doesn't always like doing business in Rhode Island.
For a 38-year-old guy who has a thing for underground rock bands and the ocean, it doesn't get much better than Rhode Island.
But for a 38-year-old chief executive officer trying to grow a venture capital-backed, high-technology company, some days it doesn't get much worse than Rhode Island.
