The Distributed-Computer Network: A Success in K-6 District
South Bay Union School District In Imperial Beach, Calif., has, like so many other districts, gone through a progression of changes regarding the use of technology. With each plateau of new technology, problems exist. The first plateau, a stand-alone computer, was difficult for teachers to integrate into instruction; it did not allow teachers to assign skills to students or monitor progress, and burdened them with a variety of diskettes.
