At the Fall 2002 Intercoiffure Show in New York, Vidal Sassoon took everyone's breath away with two distinct, asymmetrical looks: Shadow and Popism, developed by the Vidal Sassoon international creative team led by stylist Tim Hartley and colorist Annie Humphreys.
Popism, the shorter style shown above, was created by Traci Sakosits, creative director for the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica, CA. The Popism collection focuses on asymmetric, offset layering. This collection takes its inspiration from hybrids of the `60s ideal, `70s carefree wash-and-wear hair, and `80s hard-edged popism.
