The Solvay High School Art Club recently gave the village a long-lost piece of history, presenting six prints to the village board.
The prints were made using linoleum blocks that art teacher Kristie Hayes discovered in a supply room.
A few of the blocks have dates on them from the 1940s.
Carved into the blocks were images of Solvay: St. Cecilia's Church, Solvay Process, Hazard Street Middle School, Solvay Public Library and a church on Freeman Avenue that no longer stands.
