This is a highly readable yet disturbing book. Its author is an obstetrician-gynecolgist who has been performing abortions for nearly thirty years. As Sloan examines abortion, its causes and consequences, the players and processes, we are able to draw a more complete picture of the abortion industry, although perhaps not the one the author must have hoped to portray.
