Dec. 19--Hobbits, Orcs and Ents are huge draws at the box office. But in the toy aisle, the Lord of the Rings characters are no match for Star Wars' stormtroopers and Harry Potter's wizards.
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers opened Wednesday and was expected to approach the $860 million in domestic and international ticket sales racked up by last year's Fellowship of the Ring, the first film of AOL Time Warner's trilogy.
