Pharmaceutical manufacturer Cambridge Major Laboratories (Germantown, WI) has acquired the bulk actives pilot plant of the former Oread Laboratories (Lawrence, KS). Oread filed for bankruptcy and its assets were sold via auction last month. Cambridge purchased the plant for less than $5 million. Cambridge is moving the equipment to its site at Germantown.
The deal provides a significant boost in cGMP pilot plant capability, particularly low-temperature processing capability, Cambridge says.
