CITY UNIONS TO HELP RAISE $2 MILLION FOR DAILY NEWS STRIKERS
NEW YORK, Nov. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Striking Daily News columnist Juan Gonzalez announced this morning that unions throughout the city will be asking each of their members to help the Allied Printing Trades Council in its fight against the Daily News.
Unions are asking each of their members to contribute $1 to a fund to be used by the nine unions which are currently on strike against the Daily News. The goal is to raise $2 million which will be spent on newspaper advertisements, and television and radio spots that will explain to the public the issues and the history of the unions' strike and ...
