Dec. 20--Indiana's attorney general's office and the Better Business Bureau get calls each month from people such as Robert Storm. He says he has to spend $7,000 to fix problems with his recently purchased home that should have been detected during a pre-purchase home inspection.
But in the absence of any law -- state or national -- homeowners have little redress for their grievances, other than to drag the inspectors to court and press them for damages.
