Gardening is a wonderfully universal endeavor. Young or old, male or female, the love G of gardening crosses all boundaries. I'll bet a major reason for this wide-ranging appeal is the fact that it brings out the kid in all of us. How else could an adult manage to play in the dirt, take time to be awestruck by a butterfly alighting on a blossom, or enjoy painting the landscape in a riot of colorful flowers-all while maintaining a sense of dignity?
