There are places in this world, believe it or not, where female professional athletes are just as popular as their male counterparts. Sometimes even more so.
In these places, the women are plastered all over billboards. They're in the newspapers nearly every day. They're on TV endorsing every product under the sun. And they're also making hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars a year just playing their sport.
Of course, one of those places isn't the United States. And it probably won't be for a long time.
