Dec. 24--TRUMBULL, Conn.--The toys have become more complicated, but when it comes to holiday greenery, peo-ple are loyal to poinsettias.
"The holidays are very traditional," said Carl Roehrich of City Line Florist Inc. in Trumbull. "Very few people deviate from that." Traditional when it comes to December plants means red poinsettias, Roehrich said.
Of the more than 2,000 poinsettias the family has sold since Thanksgiving, only approximately 300 are pink, white or variegated. Rock gardens, or collections of small green plants, are also popular, he said. ...
